Day 1: Arrival in Nagpur – Travel to Pench – First Safari
We begin our journey with a meet and greet at Nagpur Airport or Railway Station. Once everyone has arrived, we head for a classic Nagpuri breakfast of Tarri Poha, a spicy local delicacy to fuel us for the adventure ahead.
After breakfast, we drive to Pench National Park, a journey of approximately 2 hours. Pench, straddling the border of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, offers one of the most scenic and wildlife-rich forest landscapes in Central India.
Upon arrival, we check in to our wildlife resort, settle into our rooms, and take a short break. After lunch, we get ready for our first afternoon safari, giving us an initial taste of Pench’s rich biodiversity and light conditions for photography.
Following the safari, we gather in the dining area for a tour briefing session, where we’ll discuss the next few days in detail — covering zones, target species, gear setup, and photo goals. Hi-tea is served during this session, and we end the day with dinner and an early night.
Highlights:
Arrival at Nagpur (airport or railway station)
Authentic local breakfast – Tarri Poha
Transfer to Pench and resort check-in
Afternoon safari (Safari #1)
Evening briefing session & hi-tea

Day 2 & Day 3: Double Safari Days – Photography in Prime Winter Light
Over the next two days, we immerse ourselves in two safaris per day — one in the early morning and one in the late afternoon — giving us ideal light conditions for wildlife photography.
We begin each day early, heading out before sunrise for our morning safari. Winter is one of the best seasons for wildlife photography in Central India — the forest is lush, and the early light streaming through the trees creates perfect backdrops for dramatic images. We carry packed breakfast into the park to maximise time in the field.
After returning, there’s time to rest, charge batteries, and review gear. A fresh lunch is served at the resort, and soon after, we head out for the afternoon safari, chasing golden hour moments in the forest.
Once back, we meet for hi-tea and a photo review session, where we discuss sightings, photographic opportunities, technical challenges, and fieldcraft.
Daily Routine:
Early wake-up and morning safari (Safari #2 & #4)
Packed breakfast in the park
Opportunity for tiger tracking, bird photography, and dramatic light work
Return, rest, and lunch at the resort
Afternoon safari (Safari #3 & #5)
Evening hi-tea + photo review session
Group discussions on sightings, images, gear setups, and post-processing tips
Dinner and overnight stay
Day 4: Final Safari & Departure
On our final day, we set out for one last chance to frame the wild with our sixth and final safari. The morning drive often brings surprises, and this is our chance to capture something special to end the trip on a high note.
We again carry packed breakfast into the park to stay focused on wildlife. After the safari, we return to the resort, freshen up, pack, and check out.
The group then travels back to Nagpur, with full memory cards and unforgettable stories — and perhaps a few iconic frames to cherish forever.
Wrap-Up:
Morning safari (Safari #6)
Packed breakfast inside the park
Check-out and transfer back to Nagpur for departure
